UHBW Simulation Centre

The UHBW Simulation Centre in Bristol hosts the Bristol Resuscitative Thoracotomy Course. This purpose-built facility features multiple simulation spaces and is located in opposite the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

With a dedicated simulation suite and lecture room, the simulation centre is a dedicated space for quality simulation-based training.

Directions

The Bristol Simulation Centre (BSC) is located within the UHBW Education Centre, the entrance to which is directly opposite the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The entrance of the education centre is pictured below.

Arrival by Rail: 5-10 minutes taxi ride from Bristol Temple Meads station.

By Coach/Bus: Bristol’s coach station is around 100 metres away.

By Car: Unfortunately, there is no parking available at UHBW Simulation Centre. There are plenty of council-run and NCP car parks nearby (e.g. cabot circus carpark, trenchard street [please note this is particularly expensive]). Cabot circus offers discounted parking when you arrive before 10am.

There are park and rides from Long Ashton, Brislington, Portway and Lyde Green to the city centre which is around 5-10 minute walk from BSC.

By Bike: there are cycle stands outside the entrance to the BRI however secure cycle sheds are limited to those with staff ID.
